Yes I hope we can all learn from each others knowledge and experiences. I have much to learn from you all. To say more about myself, my name is Jackie on TBSN discussion. I'm from Calgary and have taken refuge for 5 years. I'm now 20 years old. I hope with everyones support I will excel and improve my spiritual practice to overcome all barriers!

Celestialmaide

Thanks for introducing yourself. You are from Canada?
Brenda is also from there..do you know each other?

My internet name is Mimosa. As you know, I am trying to survive with restaurant food and being picky about eating is not helping me. Now, I really appreciate my Mommy...
must be hard to raise a kid like me... :'( I am too picky...

are you having a hard time with your profile picture???
your person icon shows empty image.

Not anymore.
I looked and she has finally mastered the personal icon.

She has the same icon as me, yah!!!!  ;D

Maybe we both might have something in common too. ;)

Yes, for some reason my real picture didn't show up. Probably b/c my webpage is down. It would be good if I could get the picture directly from my computer instead of URL. I don't know Brenda personally but I know her from TBSN discussion. I think she lives in Edmonton which is 3 hours drive from Calgary. I've also seen a picture of her but not in person.

Brenda,
I really want to see the new temple. I heard that the shoe area alone is bigger than the old temple. I went there a long time ago and the master showed us the ancestor plates. They are really elaborate and nice. That time it was a repentance ceremony. I dont' think I saw any caucasians. But I know that some people drive down from Edmonton when a Master comes to Calgary.

Brenda,
Yes I would like to meet you sometime and you can meet everyone in our youth group.

*LOL* Yes I just found the shoe area a few weeks ago!
If one thinks the shoe area is big they should see the coat area!  Hehe
Yes it is very big.  I have yet to see all of it.
I was so used to the homeyness of the old temple this place feels so formal!  I suppose I will get used to it in time.
Eeep! Thank you for mentioning it, I completely forgot to find the ancestor room!  I have to welcome our ancestors!!!

We will be in Calgary next weekend.  Although I suppose eveyone will be busy with the newyear!  We will stop for gas and maybe see my sister and her family who live there.

We will be spending that long weekend in B.C. again.

Perhaps on the way back we can meet if you like.  Please email me.

Buddhafly02/19/02 at 18:17:38#13Re: Dharma Friends :)
Celestialmaiden.
Actually our trip was only to just outside of Nelson.  About a 12 hour drive.  It was really nice.  Just that Calgary area on the way home last night!  HaHahaha

It sounds like you had a great weekend!
