In my husband Bert's dream, he found himself in Tibet in a classroom in a temple.  As in his other dreams, a young Tibetan monk is teaching him the same one as in his other dreams.

He told him, that as a white person, he would give him an easy way to understand reality.  He said that reality is simpler than we think.  He said we complicate it by our ego, by that he meant our senses and mind.

He turned to a blackboard and proceeded to write the number one with at least 12 zeros beside it.  He drew a line underneath it and underneath that line, he wrote the same.  Then starting from the far right he began to cross out one zero on top and then one zero on the bottom saying you have to simplify in life.  He simplified the fraction until all the zeros were crossed out.  At the end, only one over one was left with the result being one or oneness.

Therefore, what at first appeared to be complicated ended up being very simple after we simplify it this goes the same for our reality as we experience it.

The next example the monk gave him was a parable of the dog and the bone.  The dog runs after the bone each time we throw it and then if we throw the bone again the dog will run after the bone again until he is exhausted.

The dog being the mind and the bone being the thought.  Then if one takes a wise dog like a Saint Bernard, the dog will run only if there is meat on the bone to nourish him.

This means that it our daily life we should not act on each and every thought only the wholesome thoughts.  These thoughts being based on love, compassion, helping others, anything in that respect rather than ego self-centered thoughts.

Hi Brenda !

Read your story and some other similar stories from GM books.
I agreed 100% that we must based our deeds by love, compassion, helping, .... rather than ego self-centered !

I tried it, but I can't help my self: I want a return for my deeds ! Any comment ?

Background of my question:
1. Some people are very generous, they are always give and NEVER run out of resources ...!
2. but for me, different story ! I have a tendency to give and to to love (goood), BUT due to limited resources (and after 10 years in church), finaly decided to become ego centric, now turn to Master Lu for answer !
3. This story happen in church:
   a. there is a beatiful girl, what ever she did, always get return: nice/cute boy friends, good financially, respect, BMW car, Mercedes, ...
   b. on other hand, there is an other girl: ugly, poor, very fat, .... she did good things, I saw it, but never get return: alone, became old, 'no friend', etc...
They are dis-appointed with God but no one hear their voice !
I saw the similar things almost every where, not just in church !
4. Now, I turn to Master Lu in hope to get some solution !
5. I don't except 'KARMA' is the answer, but how pull-out the ugly lady from her problem ! If I was God, I must pull them out !
6. It is VERY EASY for 'succesfull' man or woman to 'speak about religion theories', becaused most basic need are fullfilled: food, housing, family, cute kids, financial, health, ...
7. That is why I turned to non-Church to get answer, and I found that Master Lu has to quality for the answer ! He changed a lot of people 'fate' !

Hello Vs.

My husband Berts last dream says a lot that may help you to understand:

In a dream, my husband Bert found himself in what was like a very large Turkish bath.  Everywhere there were mirrors, the walls, ceilings, and floor.  He felt much disoriented because of the mirrors all around.  When he saw the young monk on all the mirrors as all the reflections were of the monk.  He attempted to localize the original monk not the reflection because he knew better than to talk to a mirror.

Finally, he located the monk.  The monk walked towards him, smiled, and bowed.  He said to Bert, your Prajna knew better than to think that the reflection in the mirror was me.  That is why you searched for the real me although the real me is still a reflection of your mind like anything else in reality.  The lesson is that we treat everything in the mirror equally by not trying to grab it, so we should do the same in our daily lives.

We should not cling or grasp to anything not even emotions because they are a reflection of the mind.  They do not exist. It is by understanding that will help one to treat everything with equanimity in our daily life.

To answer your question is to keep life simple.
When one does something, (good deeds), it must come from your heart without any expections.

If you can see the look on Grand Master Lu's face, it is a very happy serene look.  This is a look of Buddha nature shining through him as a result of great cultivation and wisdom.

We all have Buddha nature, weather we name is spirit, soul...etc is beside the point.  It is through our cultivation that we begin realization and our Buddha nature begins to come out.

I hope this helps you.

Hi Brenda, thanks for reply !  :)

I think I understood exactly what u r trying to explain.  ::)
1. Human is bondaged/slavery to their mind, which is full of lust and ego and all sorta of 'flesh' oriented. In sort --> attachment to this material world !
2. If one can deliver them self from such 'flesh' (more precisely, material world), they will start to enter/see the TRUE happiness of the spiritual world, ... (...this from me) pls take refuge to master Lu before entering spiritual world or you'll lose, see horryble things !

My opinion are:
1. DO NOT give up with your bad-fate, try as hard as possible to reach your flesh dreams: money, popularity, become pretty, etc. Nothing wrong with it unless misconduct !  :)
2. On the other hand, if your fate is bad, very powerfull beings can alter it. I realise that ROUGHLY, fate of a person is already set before birth. It only can be ALTERED by very powerfull spiritual beings, like Master Lu ! that's why I try to ask help ! ;D  But MOST of us are ruled by this kind of birth-fate: by DNA setting, family status, ecology, education, politic, by luck, .... bad or good fate ! :( :)

I realised that Budhismt teach us to free ourself from all sort of material things, and I AGREED that u will get happiness on-after freed from flesh, because nothing make u down.
Stay in spelling of mantras, so it will enlighten u, and u will be filled with all beautifull things from spiritual world (too many great things there !!! beyond words !!!)

BUT on the other hand, Master Lu has the power to alter fate like the one on "The Power of Mantra" chapter 10 The Unisa Vijaya Mantra, the 'scum bag' become 'counciler'. Some of similar things also happen in church !

Now, from HUMANITY point of view: why those Spiritual Beings help certain people, but not for most ? Do they LACK of power ? or some things wrongs up there ?  ???

I do dis-appointed with God, why he help a few people (incl me), not all, why ? some of my friends are really dis-appointed with God ! If I had the power of Master Lu, must helped them ! Some people are only being able to perceive the sorrow of dis-appointed after their children got in-curable sick, broken legs, cheated, lose of sight, financially broken FOREVER, ...

Any comments from your VERY PERSONAL point of view ? --> esc. why NOT all people are helped by spiritual being ?

Regards,
VS

FYI, some spiritual beings have being helped me, I guess they r running out of power, and they should same/shy? on it when fail, they come from Christianity side !

I realise that this question might offensive for certain people, but I state clearly here, that I mean for discussion, and searching for best-possible-human-knowledge answer ! If Administrator think this msg is offensive, simply delete it !

Hello vs,

It is very interesting to read your queries, and I believe I have a little bit of understanding in Buddhism as well as religion overall so I will try to relate to you what I understand (or probably only my personal perception) on why spiritual beings help certain people but not all.

Firstly, one must understand that there are two sides to the coin of salvation, one is the helper and one is the person praying to be helped. It is the same for all occurrences in this universe, including spiritual help and response, that there must be the fulfillment of the rules of cause-and-condition in order for a response to be effected. The cause being the person praying for help, and the condition being the spiritual being's capabilities and vows. Sometimes no response is generated for various reasons attributable to the cause and/or also the conditions not being right- meaning the right place and the right time.

Example: the prayor's negative karmic hindrance may be so powerful that a normal prayer will not be able to generate any spiritual response because the prayor's negative energy is so strong that it blocks the communication channel or that the positive energy generated by the prayer is totally overcame by his/her negative energy. Therefore, repeated prayer (such as chanting until it reaches certain number of times) or stronger methods are required (such as homa fire puja) to generate positive results.

On the other hand, the spiritual being that you pray to also plays a big part. There are many spiritual beings in the spiritual universe, its numbers are infinite and its nature truly diverse. Some have greater powers than others due to their level of enlightenment and previous practices. Some have vows to help sentient beings in a certain way but not the other. Example: it is far better to pray to an earth guardian for wealth and prosperity than to pray to a Bodhisattva for the same. This is to say that the vows and the power of that spiritual being must match that which is prayed for in oder for a response to be registered.

Having said that, one must realise that the pursuit of all things / goals that is worldly must necessarily lead to non-fulfillment one day as a person's greed is never satisfied. What the Grand Master, the Buddha and all holy beings taught us is the liberation and salvation of our inner self, not of the fulfillment of our outer desires. As long as our inner / spiritual self is fulfilled / complete, it does not matter anymore that the circumstances surrounding us are lacking, for we will be able to see through the false veil that is reality and our true happiness that is within us and never left us will shine through, as the spiritual world is the true ruler of the universe and pervades all beings living or otherwise.

Hope the above helps. Buddhism is the answer to all queries and mysteries in life. Because it simply "IS".

Kindest Regards,
Wil

Hi Vs,
if i may add... there are different ideas that each person has about what it means to be "helped" by spiritual beings... also each person sees suffering differently... to me, suffering isnt really suffering, so by pleading with spiritual beings to come and remove the suffering isnt always the best solution... suffering is not perminate and the reasons for such suffering is not always understood... some suffering is a payment to a karma debt and after it has been paid you are finally cleared from some past negative karma...
so by praying for your suffering to be relieved you are saying you dont want to pay for your debt anymore... this is why some spiritual beings dont respond and "help" but Grandmaster is one special being who understands the meaning of suffering and helps beings to free themselves from it... this is great compassion... but the draw back for this kind of help may be that we dont learn from our suffering and we may turn around and create more suffering for ourselves and people around us... this is not Grandmaster's intention and it saddens him deeply when people turn out with this result...

so the best thing to request from spiritual beings is to help you to purify your mind, body and speech and learn ways to act so you can recieve merits and proceed onto ultimate liberation... but not very many people make these sort of request, instead they tend to ask for more money, food, clothing or other material things that they think will make their life better...

       i hope this helps...
