flying thought

i was remembering that phrase from "Forrest Gump"--- Stupid is as stupid does.

Wondering whether I judge people because they are stupid or ugly; then i realise that sometimes, we ourselves are more stupid/ugly than people who are stupid/ugly because we do things that don't justify our being as intelligent/pretty...

My 2 cents -

Hello Jessie.

I haven't gotten to Monday yet in Washington State, so I guess I still have that Sunday perspective.

It seems more important how good a job someone does at being stupid or ugly.  Some people do it very well.  There are wonderful stupid people, wonderful ugly people, and wonderful all other people.  So glad to have them here!  You too, whatever category this Monday has gotten you hooked up with.

OK to judge so long as you give everyone a prize.

No one needs to justify being themselves.  That is the starting condition.  We do all kinds of things.  What will we think of next!

:) The reason for the earlier post:

Kinda getting depressed because someone was staring at me this morning...

Then it made me think. why am depressed? because people judge me? But do I judge people too? This sets me thinking...

and then, i started thinking: if i get upset that easily, that is tantamount to having an ego. So I realise I have to judge meself first...

Hi Jessie, Dance...
i think both sides of it is empty... some things we do naturally... like the likes or dislikes of certain food... we dont consciously think it over and over weather or not we like what we taste, it pretty much comes at that moment... so thinking someone is stupid or ugly is the same sort of thing... because do you constantly think of them in that way? its ok to have such thoughts... the tie up is, how we act towards those who we see as stupid or ugly, that is more important... if you think of someone as an idiot do you treat them any different? if you do i think that is when it is bad... but if you treat them as ur equal then that is something amazing... cause i see lots of dumb and ugly people, but they are only a reflection of myself at that moment...
i could call a child dumb for not understanding the world like i do but that would be dumb in itself...  stupidity is just a minds perspective on mind... so who is really the idiot?
