:) I took refuge in Grand Master Sheng Yen Lu one year ago.
Many's things are still not clear for me.
.
When chanting Master's heart mantra with a rosary bead, I don't know exactly what to visualize.
I only know that I should visualize the rosary bead radiate white lights, my right hand holds a Vajra and my left hand a Vajra bell.
When I chant " Om guru Lian Sheng Siddhi Hum ", I  also visualize Grand Master appearing in front of me.
When I chant  " Om mani Padme Hum " , i visualize Kuan Yin Boddhisattva.  Is this correct  ?? Or should I only visualize the radiating white light, Vajra + bell.

Jolanda,
can you be a bit more specific about your question? are you talking about daily cultivation practices? or reciting while you do your daily activities? because they are quite different and for the daily activities you cant really do visualizations while reciting Grand Masters heart mantra, because its not very easy and it could cause you to make mistakes or injure yourself in the process... and if you are talking about daily cultivation practices... have you been given the four preliminary practices or Guru Yoga procedures yet? it explains them quite well... and some of it is up to you how you go about visualization and that might be why you are unclear about what to do...

       hope this helps...

Lyciss,
I mean when i am doing the four preliminary practice.
After the repentance mantra follows the chanting of the guru mantra 108 times. When chanting the guru mantra , I visualize th rosary beads radiating light and also Grand master .
Is this correct ??

copied and pasted from TBS site:

Hold the counting beads with both hands out in front of you. Use your thumbs to count the beads while chanting.

Visualize your left hand becoming a vajra bell which symbolizes wisdom. The right hand becomes a dorje which symbolizes compassion. The head bead of the counting beads represents the Many Jewels Buddha Pagoda. The four sectional beads symbolize the Four Regions Heaven Vajra Protectors. The tassel at the end of the beads represents the hands of the Buddha. The string inside the beads becomes white light, symbolizing Vajrasattva's nature. With each chanting of the mantra, visualize the Root Guru appearing in front of you from the center of the counting beads.

HI ,

Thank you very much for the information.
The temple where I go to doesn't have the practices translated in english. Everything is written in chinese. Each time I have to ask someone to translate it for me ,so that I can write it down in dutch.
I am so happy now also that I can buy Grand master books from Amazone bookstore.
It is such of a great value.
