I have been reading the posts that you two did on the forum. I would like compliment you for giving such positive feedbacks to people. Luljeta has suggested me to invite you two to be our columnists.
for example, we right now have a lenghty discussion on the "how to help others". we can summerize it or break down to different subjects. The article will be posted on forum/web/newsletter.
It doesnt have to be a forum question, it can be really anything, but needs to be *postive* and bring *encouragement* to others.
Every article will be posted on the admin before we send out.
The article will be posted by your name.
How is that?
Sometimes in life, Buddhism is too spiritual and far-feteced for us. We can not relate to it. We needs good friends, good articles and good advices!
Please let me know!

Well, I am enjoying my posts too! Lyciss's also.
I didn't know I had those words in me. I am appreciative of all the people who posted opposite me, gave me ideas to bounce off of. Left to my own devices, I tend to think I have nothing to say! Left to my own devices and a deadline for a column I promised to write, I might find True Emptiness ahead of schedule!
So... I am not sure. If we re-work the "how to help others" discussion into another format, won't people recognize it as what they already read? Or are we looking for a different audience? I does seem possible.
Anyway, I am getting behind on editting! And Mercury is in retrograde just now, so how could I possibly communicate clearly?
I am glad to have you as good friends and family.

#you will take term with Lyciss and Brenda...so dont worry about deadline.. Just write when you fee like it.

#"how to help others" is an idea.
Basically, for example, this month, you can write about
"Reaching Out" or something...talk about how to help others
because whatever... You need to emphasize how important it is especially to a buddhist. I am just giving an idea. I dont want to be too strick about it.. as long as it gives postive impact or somehow Buddhism insight, it will be good enough for me.

Lyciss05/23/02 at 02:10:11#4Re: Dance and LycissMimosa, Dance...
it sounds like a great idea Mimsosa but it can lead us to potential problems, since neither Dance or I are qualified for such an undertaking... i cant speak for Dance but im already willing to take on any negative karma that my words produce and im sure they can and will produce some negative effects... if they help that is all that matters to me... people can never have enough inspiration...

#your post will be reviewed by the team first. we will do our best to read it first. how is that? I asked you to do it, so bad karma goes to me :-)

Buddhafly05/23/02 at 12:37:58#6Re: Dance and LycissI like this idea.
Great Mimosa.
If there is a big question that I do not have the knowledge to answer I go to a Master. If not, I find the resources on the old TBSN or through the books that I have.
Also we have many knowledgeable Dharma Brothers and Sisters that are ready and willing to help.
By pooling our knowledge we have a great team.
It not only helps others but it helps us to build our own understanding as well. :)
Luljeta05/23/02 at 22:29:20#7Re: Dance and LycissHello everyone,
Mimosa might eventually have thought of the above idea already, but I must admit that it's my fault for complimenting Lyciss and Dance. You both have done so wonderfully in helping people with their questions and problems that I was really inspired by the both of you. I'm sure many others feel the same way. :)
I know it might feel awkward being asked to do something that's in a newsletter format...so I'm sorry if the both of you felt like you were being put on the spot. It's just that you both are so good at what you've been doing, and I know Mimosa! She is very resourceful and brilliant when it comes to thinking up things that can help others.
I think the idea will always be there, but you can both figure out if it's really something you are willing to take on. Maybe yes, maybe no, maybe not right away and with some time. I know that it won't be the same if it feels 'forced' in a way...your ideas might not flow as well as they do when you simply see a posting and decide to reply to it. So think about it, and I know either way that you both will always do a great job in helping others, and most importantly, giving them positive inspiration!
Could Dance and Lyciss really be Padma's cheerleaders?? Ha ha ha...just kidding.
All the best,
Lu

Buddhafly05/25/02 at 10:36:31#10Re: Dance and LycissWhen I started on TBSN years ago Mimosa was very adament about me becoming familiar with the whole site.
The Teaching sections and questions and answers sections are great. I think these are very impotant to be familiar with.
Also Grand Master Lu's online books.
By using these for several years it has helped me a great deal along with my practice to help answering others questions.
*Bows* to Mimosa.
