It says it is a True Buddha Repentence ritual -- does that mean it is already included as part of our taking refuge (just like the Vajrasattva Heart Practice)?
dun have ready access to a Master...would appreciate if someone knows for sure?

"In the "Ling Xian Vajra Tantra", I talked about how to do a True Buddha repentance ritual. There are five salient points:
1. Invocation of Buddha to witness
In our meditation, We must summon three Buddhas from the West, five Buddhas from the south, five Buddhas from the south and eight Buddhas from the north - altogether 21 Buddhas - to appear in the air and be our witnesses in the repentance ritual."
it is part of the Ling Xian Vajra Tantra ( should be translated to Vajrasattva Practice, I think. I dont have the Chinese book to verify it)
anyway, once you take refuge, you can practice it

I actually went to read the book. But it is not clear whether empowerment is necessary. But GM says it is True Buddha repentence...That's why I asked...Am thinking of practising the 21 Buddhas Repentence in addition to Vajrasattva Heart Practice...
Hmmm...maybe it is not a good idea to practice without first finding out (I tried once and I feel bad should empowerment is nec).. Thanks...I will post that question on TBSN Chinese Board.....
