Knowing what to do

Tonight I decided at the last minute I was going to temple. It was to be the Amitabha Buddha Principal Deity Practice at yet I didn't know the practice.

There was a light drizzle as I drove the way and as I was on the freeway I could somehow sense the dragons nearby.  It was a nice feeling.

Our Master is out of the city and we had a our new Malaysian Lama leading the group.  I didn't bring my practice book with me therefore I went by memory for the usual things and for the rest somehow I just knew what to do.  I didn't visualize Amitabha in the moon disk I visualized a white seed syllable and then after Grand Master Lu.  Then for the visualization later I did the Amitabha mudra and visualized Amitabha sending me the different colored lights this seemed correct.

Later on the Lama was giving her talk, I had someone translating and the translator explained the practice and I discovered I did pretty much everything right.  There were a few things I discovered I didn't know, like Siddhi is the lands of the different deities, like Amitabha's is the Pureland, and Grand Master Lu's is the Maha twin lotus ponds. Perhaps I heard it before but never remembered that one.  Also that the color of the seed syllable is a different color for the different principle deities.

Besides falling over backwards when I was attempting to get up to do the prostrations, my legs fell asleep, I had a good night at practice.
