Revered Masters of True Buddha Foundation

On behave of Padmakumara Translation Team, I would like to pay our most sincere homage to  your dedication in promoting True Buddha Tantric Dharma. Team members are excited to know that TBF Masters will review and proofread our translations. With your great blessing and guidance,  Grand Master’s
teachings will spread  to more people.

In respond to Grand Master’s  translation request , I would like to take the liberty to inform you about the operation of Padmakumara Translation Team.

The Padmakumara Translation Team was organized on 1/28/2002 by a  team of self-volunteered disciples around the world. Our website address is www.padmakumara.org. Our main goal is to translate Living Buddha Lian-Sheng’s teachings from Chinese to English, spread the teachings around world, and help endless sentient beings in the future.

Due to great difficulty of translation , Padmakuramara  established a new translation procedure to reduce the translators’ workload, improve translation accuracy,  and improve translation quality. Each paper is first translated by a translator, edited or revised by an editor, and then proofread by a proofreader. After  that, each paper is published on the website to be vetted by the general public, if mistakes are found, they will be revised right away.  Attached please see  a sample of  our translation schedule/procedure.

After the article is published, we send a well-written paper to Singapore True Buddha Newspaper and Indonesian True Buddha Magazine. We periodically notify readers around the world about the latest translations. We also keep close touch with other free-lance translators about our work progress to avoid translating the same books.   Master 蓮傳 receive our team email from time to time.  In addition,  I have sent TBS an email before regarding our work progress.

According to the latest news on True Buddha News, all translations need to send to TBF, that bring several  questions

·      Do we send every single article to TBF?

·      How do we send article to you? Email? Fax? If by fax, please be advised that many translators are from overseas.

·      While TBF is reviewing the article, do we stop giving translations to Singapore True Buddha News and Indonesian True Buddha Magazine? Please be advised that many Singapore students only understand English.

·      While TBF is reviewing the articles, can we post the articles on the website?  Please be advised many non-Chinese students, including Chinese that are born in overseas, can only read English. they are craving for translations. The amount of English articles that have been translated is almost nothing compared to rich Chinese materials. Your fast turn around time will be deeply appreciated. .

·      If difficult terms or poem is encountered, can translators contact TBF via fax or email for advice? Sometime a Buddhism term or a poem can take members a week or longer to understand,  we are fortunate to have TBF masters to guide us.

Since all members are volunteers, their working pace are flexible. There is no telling when any book will  be completely translated. The website is financially sponsored by me, and the team and I are not planning to  publish any book. Padmakumara Translation Team concentrates in translation only, and we will be more than happy to submit our work to TBF for publication.

Last,  I would like thanks Master 蓮緻 for her compassion, she has been offering spiritual guidance to no-Chinese students. She is definitely  a well-respected master in the Chinese and English student community. Thanks Master蓮傳for her encouragement.  Being a translator herself before, she understands deeply the effort and time it takes for translation.  I personally also like to express my heartfelt gratitude to  碧珍法師 and Seattle Masters for explaining difficult Chinese poems and sutra. 碧珍法師and I spend endless hours on the phone to understand GM’s books.  My gratitude to her is beyond words can describe…….

Shall you have any questions, please contact me

Immeasurable merits to all members on your collaborating effort in translating GM's books. Many sentient beings will be benefited by your endeavor!
As far as your translation result is concerned, please email or fax to TBF.
Translation alos involves quality, law, publication...etc, so the committee needs to further investigate and plan, we can then promote the translations smoothly.

We appreciate your Bodhisattava heart

True Buddha Foundation.

Team

I hope that you have received the official letter from TBF. I will try to get the email
so you can send the finished work to TBF.

Now, what it is the unofficial reply? As far as I know that we are the first one that
registered our team with TBF. We provided comprehensive procedures and excellent
samples to them. In fact, I faxed 10 pages to TBF, including our official letter,
procedures, and samples of our translations.

Recently,  there are many things happening behind the scene. Our articles were not
published on the Singapore TBN. Our team name was misused to recruit people For
the benefit of the team, I also talked to Masters and wish to turn the team to TBF.
After all, we should be under the guidance of Masters. Not me, I am just a layman.
Master Lian Zhi told me that she will organize a new translation team and she
definitely would need our support and help. She will probably be the adviser of the
translation team. She complimented our work and effort many times on the phone to
me. She is aware of the difficulty of the situation, and she wants us to concentrate on
translation now. When the time is right, our articles will be published. For now, keep
low profile and concentrate on our translations.

The short letter means a lot! First, I didnt understand it, but after one night sleep, I
got it. The letter states that we have registered ourselves with TBF to translate GM's
books. We are encouraged to continue our effort, so it means that we are not
violating copyright!! Very important.

Since our team has registered ourselves, we are legal. We should not let anyone
abuse the team name to recruit people. I will send out an announcement on the next
newsletter. If people abuse our name, who will be responsible?

For now, I can not really advertise to get new members We need to get masters time
to sort things out. . Let's stay low profile....and wait...
