Offload Lead's Job

I have not gotten any nomination from anyone regarding the new lead, so I will have to execute plan B.

We will try to run the team without the lead and see how it goes. Bascially, everyone takes a little bit more workload, rather than concentrated on one person.

basically, you need to receive the translation, update the list, and check the status.

If there is a problem, you need to figure out what needs to be done.  Change the editor/proofreader, or whatever

after 12/31/02, I will take some time off...... I will finish up the work that has already assigned to me. That means that if your article has already turned in and put on the list, I will take care of them. I will update the list tonight so you know for sure which articles I *promise* to finish.

Okay, you will handle the spreadsheet. You need to remind people if an article is hanging for too long. Either ask a volunteer to take over the job or change an editor/proofreader. we dont want to hurt people's feelings, but again we need to produce steady work.

I will train you during the holiday. I have one week off.

Sorry, but I can't do that or try to do that.
You see, I am a strong believer that people should do what their heart tells them to do.
If they want to answer other people's questions, then great.
If they do not want to answer other people's questions, then great...although it would be nice if someone did.

Why don't I answer other people's questions?  It would be like, the blind leading the blind...somewhere along our journey I will lead the group into the wall or off a cliff :-(

I will help as much as I can, but I'm just worried that I won't be able to make a solid committment by the end of January.  At that time I'll start my new semester, plus I'll be doing an internship for the NY Office of Management and Budget that will be about 30 hours a week.  I'm having a hard time catching up on work for padma from the end of this current semester.

We can talk about it more as we go along...
