Hello,

Would anyone happen to have photos of Yellow Jambhala, White Jambhala, and Acala?

I'm trying to help out a disciple in Vietnam who is quite poor and can't even afford to print photos from the internet. I'd appreciate if anyone has photos of the above deities (at their convenient disposal) to post here so I can print them out and mail them to the disciple.

Thanks in advance to anyone who could help!   :)

Luljeta and others

I told you guys before I sponsored to print some yellow Jambhala picture cards right? well...finally, they are collecting money. After that, they will print them. I sponsored about 15000 copies :-) (very reasonable price, not expensive) At the back of card, I have

Padmakumara Translation Team
www.padmakumara.org

Yellow Jambhala has both English and Chinese :-)

once I get them, I will send some to you guys. You can then give to those who wish to carry them

But, it may be one or two months...the printing guy just started to collect money..

Hello,

Wow, thank you both so much Lyciss & Mimosa!  I am very surprised to see anyone help out so soon.  Thanks so much.  All the photos are great. ;)

That photo of Acala is my favorite. It's very easy to visualize.  And the 3rd photo of the Vaisravana/Yellow Jambhala thangka  is fabulous.  And the photo of White Jambhala is great too!  I would have a hard time trying to find that one.  Actually, I have a hard time finding any photos of deities so that's why I needed help.  It's time for me to start collecting more photos and saving them in my pc.

I'd love to receive the cards Mimosa, thanks...

Hello,

Since we're in the spirit of sharing photos here, I'd love to let you all see this one.  Arica actually sent it to me because she knows I have a special affinity with this deity.  It's quite beautiful.  It's a photo of Vijaya Buddha Mother (aka Namgylma, Usnisa Vijaya).  You can feel the light radiating from your computer screen!

Last night, at the temple, we had the Yellow Jhambala practice.
I was quite unsure of what to do.  A Dharma sister whispered to me to meditate and showed me the symbol.
Therefore I visualized Yellow Jhambala entering inside me and went into Samadi.  Interestingly enough I felt a yellow light surrounding me also the samadai I entered was very deep.

What I didn't expect was to feel icky, like something was on my skin while in samadi.  Which I immediatly brushed off after.

I did dedicate the merits to a friend who came with me as he is out of work and I felt very calm and happy after.

I am pretty sure I had the empowement years ago but I couldn't remember the practice.

Can anyone tell me if what I did was correct?

Thank you.

Brenda

Hi Brenda,

Vijaya Buddha Mother is the emanation of Avalokitesvara and Vajrapani.  She is said to have come from the Wisdom Crown of Shakyamuni Buddha.  Amitabha Buddha is her Guru.

Praciticing her dharma has many merits, as you can read about by visiting the following url's:

http://www.tbsn.org/english/news/oct98/namgyl1.htm

http://www.tbsn.org/english/news/oct98/namgyl2.htm

She is also known as Namgylma (from a form of Tibetan) and Usnisa Vijaya (from a form of Sanskrit)...I know the Chinese too but can't write it out properly lol...

One can eradicate the heaviest karmas from his/her past seven lifetimes by chanting her Dharani (placed around her on the photo I attached above) and this same Dharani may also be used for deliverance.  Please read the articles I provided the url's to and you find out a lot more.

Hi Brenda,

For the meditation, what you did was fine.  We can visualize the merging of oneself with the deity for meditation.

As for the Yellow Jambhala yoga procedure, I can't remember either as I usually don't do this practice.  If I can find it I'll send it to you

Hi everyone,
i do the Yellow Jhambala practice so i will explain it here...

do all of your normal prepairing for any cultivation before you start... visualize Yellow Jhambala as vividly as possible... his right big toe is swollen... i dont know why its swollen but my take on it is, when he was a hindu protection deity he sepressed evil creatures by steping on them and one probably bit him in the toe... anyways his swollen toe causes him extreme pain and he clutches his mongoose too tight so it cant spit out any jewels... now this is where the Five Dhyana Buddhas come in... you recite the five Dhyana Mantra for them to appear and empower Yellow Jhambala so the swelling goes away and his pain subsides... he will then ease up on the mongoose and it will open its mouth and spill out wealth...
i like this procedure because it directly reflects our exsistence... when you think of and help others you worthy of payment even if you dont ask for it before you start... this is how our minds should always be... if the side effect is granting wealth... remember to use the aquired wealth a long the same lines otherwise you disrepect the giver...
