Is copying school assignment also breaks one of the 5 precepts?  :P

I think this matter is quite important, consider this

Surveys revealed that 80% of the Australian university students admitted that they have cheated at least once in their exams, they also copied school assignments, most of them are young male engineering students
The reason being was that they were not sure that they could pass the exam.    :cwm15:

I have many senior uni friends, whom they always give solutions to my assignments.
Is this considered as stealing?  ;D

The precept goes like this:
"Refrain from stealing One must not take things that do not belong to oneself."
I will quote Grand Master Lu.
"Another precept is "to refrain from stealing."I feel that
Western educational systems are somewhat deficient in emphasizing the importance of integrity in the building of moral
character.  In the Orient there is more attention given to the moral education of children.  Especially in Japan, there is a very strict sanction against stealing.  Children are taught from an early age that, "Things that do not belong to one are not one's.  One is not qualified to be a human being when one steals from others."  Stealing is a very serious transgression in the Buddhist precepts."
